After a few kilometers on a curvy road through the magnificent sceneries of the Serra de Tramuntana, you will reach the imposing water reservoirs Cuber and Gorg Blau.
Grog Blau, which catalan name means “blue lake”, it’s an articial lake, beautifully situated between the slopes of the Puig Major and Puig de Massanella.
We then move to the Sanctuary of Lluc, founded in 1121 by Pfalzgraf Otto and part of the Diocese of Mallorca.
This monastery, with his beautiful inner courtyard, church and museum, has been run by the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts since 1891.
Your trip follow the Vineyards regions where a number of local winemakers produce a wide diversity of wines that rival some of the best in the world and have won prestigious national and international prizes.
Take a visit of the wine cellars, where you’ll learn more about the traditional production’s methods and may enjoy a tasting of an excellent wines selection, matched with delicious local crusty bread, Majorcan paté and extra virgen olive oil.
Next you’ll head inland through the beautiful villages of Sineu and Petra as you make your way toward the town of Manacor. There you will visit the factory and watch the manufacturing process of the famous majorcan pearl factory.
While there are in Majorca a number of shops where you can buy pearls, on the factory you can buy it directly by the manufacturer.
Your last stop will lead to Puig de Randa, or Randa Hill, a 518m high mountain near Llucmajor.
Here you will find the monastery of Randa (Santuari de Nostra Dona de Cura) which history goes back more then 700 years. In early spring and late autumn this climb is a cyclist mecca, mainly for his spectacular 360º view over the island, from the North East located bay of Alcudia to the bay of Palma in South West.
After we will travel back toward your cruise, through Randa, a small village connected to big names of Mallorca’s history, like Ramón Llull.
